Farewell to Tom Storey

The Hunter Campbell team (reluctantly) farewelled Tom Storey last week, Tom was a recruitment consultant in our Supply Chain, Operations and Procurement team. Seldom do people leave Hunter Campbell, and when they do it’s more often than not for a particularly good opportunity.

In talking to Tom the magnitude of the decision to leave Hunter Campbell is obvious, but heading into industry is something he has wanted to do for a while. He was fortunate to be able to work through the decision making process with Ken, who was supportive of Tom and his move and is genuinely invested in his success. Tom put it simply “I can’t thank Ken enough for his mentorship, we have a great team where everyone works hard and has a good time. This comes down to Ken’s leadership and humble approach.”

Tom leaves Hunter Campbell having made a huge impact on the team here, with his long locks and sense of humour he will be missed. But we know we have left a positive impression on him too. Tom talks of the Hunter Campbell culture, the awesome work environment, and incredible team to be part of and learn from.

Tom is looking forward to entering the container logistics industry with Matchbox Exchange as their Customer Engagement Manager for NZ. His new role will be responsible for building an efficient reuse and exchange platform for empty shipping containers nationwide and we wish him all the best.
