Applications for the third intake of the Future CFO Programme are now open until Wednesday 30 June 2021.
Developed by Hunter Campbell, the Future CFO Programme supports middle and senior level Finance professionals develop the skills they need to be the leaders of tomorrow.
Participants attend Leader Forums where experienced CFOs and business leaders share insights on their careers and discuss topics including working with Boards and the CEO – CFO relationship. In addition the programme includes mentoring, networking, career development support and psychometric assessment facilitated by Added Insight. Participants gain up to 12 CPD hours (non verified) and also join the Future CFO Alumni at the end of the programme, so they continue to be part of the wider Hunter Campbell Finance networks.
The 2021 programme starts with Welcome Drinks on Wednesday 28 July followed by four Leader Forums, being held between August and November. Guest speakers include Ian Hankins, Westpac CFO, Simon Hoole, Villa Maria CFO, Brad Olsen, Infometrics Senior Economist, Gerard Mackle, Executive Leadership coach, and Fiona Hancock, Organisational Psychologist and Director of Added Insight.
The programme was launched in 2020, and has received resoundingly positive feedback, with the Leader Forums achieving an average 95% satisfaction rate. Previous participants of the course have used their learnings to progress their careers within their organisations with a number of participants taking on the role of CFO within six to twelve months after completing the programme.
Mentoring is a core benefit of the programme, as it can be difficult for professionals to find a mentor outside of the organisation they are working in. Having the right mentor can be hugely advantageous in helping people to grow, overcome obstacles and move their career forward. Through Future CFO, participants will be matched with an external mentor for a year and receive one-on-one feedback to help them achieve their aspirations.
The CFO role is ever evolving, with today’s CFOs bringing exceptional strategic insight and commercial acumen to the table. The roadmap to this sought-after role is varied and complex so it’s important that tomorrow’s leaders equip themselves with a broad range of knowledge, skills and experiences.
“Future CFO is part of Hunter Campbells commitment to investing in top talent and helping to shape tomorrows finance leaders.” Lee Marshall, Managing Partner Hunter Campbell.
