Applications for the next intake of the Future CFO Programme are now open until Friday 19 February 2021.
Developed by Hunter Campbell, the Future CFO Programme assists middle and senior Finance professionals to develop the skills they need to be the leaders of tomorrow.
The programme includes mentoring, networking and career development support. Participants attend Leader Forums, where experienced CFOs and business leaders share insights on their careers and discuss topics including working with Boards and the CEO – CFO relationship. At the end of the programme, participants join the Future CFO Alumni and continue to be part of wider Hunter Campbell Finance networks.
The 2021 programme starts with Welcome Drinks on Wednesday 10 March followed by four Leader Forums, being held between April and June. Guest speakers include Synlait CFO Angela Dixon, Spark CFO Stefan Knight, Icehouse Ventures Director Andy Hamilton, Director Kirsty Campbell and Infometrics Senior Economist Brad Olsen.
Founding Partner Lee Marshall says the programme was launched in 2020 and has received positive feedback, with the Leader Forums achieving an average satisfaction rate of 95%.
“The inaugural participants were extremely appreciative of the opportunity to be mentored and they really valued the chance to hear senior leaders share insights about how they have navigated their careers,” says Lee.
Mentoring is a core benefit of the programme, as it can be difficult for professionals to find a mentor outside of the organisation they are working in.
“Having the right mentor can be hugely advantageous in helping people to grow. Through Future CFO, participants will be matched with an external mentor for a year and receive one-on-one feedback to help them overcome obstacles and move their career forward.”
Lee says the role of CFO is ever evolving, with today’s CFOs bringing exceptional strategic insight and commercial acumen to the table.
“The roadmap to this sought-after role is varied and complex so it’s important that tomorrow’s leaders equip themselves with a broad range of knowledge, skills and experiences.
“This programme is one of the ways we’re aiming to add value to the wider Accounting and Finance community and help talented professionals work towards their goals.”
Applications for the Future CFO Programme are open now until Friday 19 February.
Applications are invited from candidates who are CA or CPA qualified with post qualification experience. Hunter Campbell sponsors a number of participants to take part in the programme where cost is a barrier. If you wish to be considered for a sponsored place, please state this in your application.
