About Chris

As the manager for the permanent Accounting team, I am responsible for ensuring we maintain a best in class approach to both our talent management and our client’s needs. My area of recruitment specialisation is senior accounting roles. I have an extensive network of both candidates and clients in the Accounting and Finance sector, enabling me to connect exceptional talent with top New Zealand businesses.

My priority is finding the right people who are going to improve an organisations performance, with a focus on the long term. I do this by ensuring I have a genuine understanding of what a business or finance team needs, then matching this to the qualities and aspirations of an individual.

After graduating with a BA in 2011, my early career was in sporting events retail, which involved hiring high volumes of employees for large exhibitions. My actual recruitment career began in 2015, when I relocated from the UK to NZ and joined a global Auckland based recruitment agency where I spent 3 years learning the trade in the Accounting and Finance service line. In 2019 I joined Hunter Campbell, where I have been able to build on my experience in this field and take on the role of managing the Accounting and Finance recruitment team.

My long-term approach and focus on achieving the best outcome means I have a reputation as a trusted partner with both my clients and candidates.

Life Outside the Office

Outside of work, life centres around my family, wife, Hannah and two small children. I enjoy socialising with friends over good food and good wine. My weekends will almost always contain a round of golf or a game of football.
