A new and unique opportunity exists with a soon to be launched boutique Independent Asset Management (IAM) firm based in Auckland. The venture is backed by a seasoned financial professional with over 20 years of experience in private banking and wealth management across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe.
The team are committed to establishing this new venture with committed capital, prime office space, an extensive offshore network to leverage, and a highly lucrative incentive structure to reward performance.
This entity will target High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs), Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs), and family offices, offering tailored advisory investment solutions across a comprehensive range of financial products. In addition, they plan to launch a technology-driven advisory platform for mass affluent investors.
The Opportunity – CEO
Crucial to the success of this entity is the hire of an experienced, motivated, and well-networked leader within the private wealth space who is seeking a unique opportunity to take the reins. This is a rare greenfield opportunity to become the founding Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a forward-thinking IAM firm with committed capital, strategic intent, and international ambitions.
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader with the vision and drive to establish and grow the business from the ground up. As CEO, you will have the opportunity to disrupt New Zealand’s traditional wealth management space, build a high-performance team, and shape a modern, client-focused offering that challenges the status quo.

Skillset and Experience to Be Successful
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven leadership experience in private wealth, private banking, and/or asset management.
- An extensive and established network.
- A strong entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated capability to lead and build teams from inception.
- Deep understanding of HNWI and UHNWI client needs, with a track record of providing high-quality investment advisory services.
- Confidence in navigating regulatory frameworks and engaging with the FMA and other relevant authorities.
- Exceptional communication and business development skills, with the ability to attract top talent and build strategic partnerships.
- Experience or familiarity with digital platforms and mass affluent solutions will be highly valued.
