Chief Revenue Officer

  • Auckland

  • Sales / Sales Director / Head of Sales

Description

Sherratt Ingredients

Sherratt Ingredients is a privately owned New Zealand food ingredients business that has partnered with manufacturers for almost 40 years. Built on a values led, customer centric philosophy, the company combines deep technical expertise, market leading manufacturing and R&D capability, and long standing supplier relationships to deliver meaningful commercial impact across the food industry.

With a strong national footprint with offices in both Auckland and Christchurch, the business is entering its next phase of strategic refinement and growth.

About the Role

This appointment is pivotal.

The business has capability, reputation and market presence. What it now requires is an executive revenue leader who can bring sharper strategic alignment, structured execution and elevated performance discipline across sales and marketing.
Reporting to the Managing Director and operating as a core member of the SLT, as the Chief Revenue Officer you will:

  • Lead and coach a strong and established sales & marketing team
  • Own and execute company sales and market strategy
  • Translate strategic intent into disciplined annual business plans
  • Drive revenue, margin and market share growth
  • Embed accountability, cadence and performance rigour across the sales function
  • Elevate strategic marketing alignment and commercial effectiveness
  • Represent the business confidently with senior customers, global supplier principals and industry stakeholders

This is not a “player-coach” role. It requires an executive who builds the framework, sets the standard and develops others to deliver at scale.
The role partners closely with Technical (R&D and Quality), Product Management, Finance and Operations across Auckland and Christchurch.

Key Experience

  • A proven B2B commercial leader with experience leading revenue functions at scale
  • Experienced in technical or solution led sales environments
  • Strategically confident and commercially rigorous
  • Comfortable contributing at executive level and engaging in robust strategic dialogue
  • A disciplined operator who brings structure, rhythm and measurable accountability
  • Relationship led, credible and influential with senior stakeholders

Industry background in food ingredients is advantageous but not essential.

What’s in it for you?

This is a rare executive leadership opportunity within a respected New Zealand business which offers:

  • Genuine influence at Senior Leadership level
  • Autonomy to shape commercial strategy and execution
  • A strong, capable team ready for elevated leadership
  • The ability to help shape the next chapter of a long-standing New Zealand success story
