The purpose of the role is to lead the supply chain function. This entails procurement, through assembly, and logistics processes – from source to the customer’s front door. The Chief Supply Chain Officer is pivotal to the weekly deliveries of tens of thousands of customer orders across New Zealand. You’ll love operations and problem-solving. You’ll relish a challenge and the need to achieve weekly targets by rolling up your sleeves and being deeply engaged in all facets of the business. You’ll also be attracted to the opportunity to develop and find ways of supporting growth strategies that will see My Food Bag continue to enhance its influence for good with Kiwi families well into the future. While right now we’re a food assembly operation; we can be much more. You’ll be passionate about making things better for customers through the adoption of technology and striving to build a Best in Class end-to-end supply chain.
Attracting and growing talent will be a big component of your success over time. You’ll place value on this and have a history of building top tier talent. Your demonstrable leadership experience, particularly in an area where you are accountable for end-to-end supply chain, coupled with experience delivering both operational excellence and strategic growth initiatives, will ensure your success in this role. Previous experience in Food, FMCG or Retail sectors is preferred.
You’ve got to a point in your professional life where you’re ready to make a big impact and you’ve worked out that genuine opportunities to lead a Kiwi business with scale and potential are few, and far between, and that this is one of the gems. You’ll be ambitious for the business, and yourself, and feel confident that you’re building the capability to take on wider leadership responsibility in your career journey.
