Role Summary
Reporting to the CFO, the Commercial Finance Manager (12-month FTC) translates financial and operational performance into meaningful commercial insights, partnering with execs and operational leaders to support strategic priorities and improve business performance
Key Responsibilities
- Layer a commercial lens over key strategic initiatives in areas covering procurement, pricing and wage to revenue analysis.
- Partner with leaders to evaluate business opportunities, investment decisions and operational performance
- Partner with Regional Managers and Education leaders on commercial decisions
- Support greenfield site business cases and investment appraisals
- Provide financial modelling for strategic change and Group initiatives
- Translate complex data into clear insight for the CFO and SLT
Key Skills & Experience Required
- CA/CPA (equivalent) qualified preferred
- Commercial finance or business partnering experience, ideally in a multi-site organisation
- Strong Excel skills and PowerBI experience advantageous
- Experience with procurement and supplier contract analysis
- Proven ability to build commercial models and business cases
- Confident communicator, able to tell the numbers story at every level
- Exposure to a funding-driven or labour-intensive sector highly regarded
