The Role
The Commercial Manager is a critical link between Finance and designated functional business areas. This role partners with leaders across the
organisation to deliver actionable financial insights, shape strategic and
operational planning, and enable effective decision-making whilst leading a team of effective Finance Business Partners. You are responsible for producing high-quality reporting, supporting forecast and budget cycles, and ensuring financial alignment across the business.
Key duties will include (but not limited to);
- Build & maintain trusted relationships with functional leads.
- Lead, develop and coach a team of Finance Business Partners
- Provide commercial insight and challenge to support decision-making.
- Translate financial analysis into strategic advice & recommendations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to build functional area forecasts & budgets.
- Support the development & review of business cases, including capital investment proposals & other commercial initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally to improve understanding of financial impacts & outcomes.
- Actively engage in leadership & project meetings, bringing a finance lens to discussions.
To be considered for this opportunity you will be CA/CPA/CIMA qualified with 5+ years post qualification experience within a large, complex business. You must also be a confident communicator as you will need to build influential relationships with key stakeholders across the wider business. Experience with a business that has physical products will be highly advantageous.
