Due to increased workload and a focus on strengthening receivables performance, a newly created Credit Control Officer role has been established to support the finance function.
The Role
This is a hands-on credit control position where you will take ownership of managing customer accounts and supporting the timely collection of outstanding debts. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve queries, manage credit risk, and improve cashflow outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the end-to-end credit control process for a portfolio of customer accounts
- Proactively contacting customers regarding overdue balances
- Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
- Monitoring credit limits and assessing customer risk
- Reconciling customer accounts and maintaining accurate records
- Preparing aged debtor reports and providing regular updates to management
- Supporting improvements to credit control processes and procedures
- Building strong working relationships with sales, customer service, and finance teams
About You
You’ll be an experienced credit control or accounts receivable professional who is confident managing customer relationships and driving collections in a high-volume environment.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to have proactive collection conversations
- Excellent attention to detail and reconciliation skills
- Good commercial judgement and an understanding of credit risk
- Experience working with ERP systems and intermediate Excel skills
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience within a large or complex organisation, or exposure to export, manufacturing, or primary industry environments, would be advantageous.
