Description
About the company:
Our client has had a strong presence in the New Zealand market for over 20 years. Operating within the construction industry, they’ve become a recognised leader in their product category and continue to grow their footprint nationwide. With multiple business units under their brand, they offer a supportive, team-focused culture and a commitment to delivering quality products.
About the role:
This is a hands-on planning role where you’ll take responsibility for managing demand and supply planning across a key product portfolio. You’ll work closely with production, procurement, and sales to ensure materials and finished goods are available when and where they’re needed.
Alongside planning, you will also manage the transactional purchasing activity-raising and tracking purchase orders, managing supplier communication, and monitoring material availability. In this role you will play a key role in balancing supply and demand, maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting production to meet customer requirements.
This role would see you contributing to the monthly S&OP process for your category, building accurate forecasts and turning these into actionable supply and purchasing plans.
This is an initial 3-month fixed-term contract, offering the opportunity to add value quickly while gaining exposure to a leading New Zealand manufacturer.
About you:
With full time NZ working rights, you will bring proven experience in demand and supply planning, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment. You’ll also have a solid understanding of purchasing processes and be confident managing day-to-day buying activity.
Strong analytical and systems skills are essential – you’ll be comfortable working with ERP systems and Excel to manage data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Experience with Power BI or similar tools would be an advantage but not essential.
You will also have strong communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively with teams across production, procurement and logistics.
