Husqvarna Group is a global leader in outdoor power products, forestry, garden and construction equipment, selling into more than 100 markets worldwide. The New Zealand business sits within the Forest & Garden division, giving this role the backing and resources of a major international group while still operating with the pace of a local team.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director PAC, with a dotted line to the NZ Managing Director, you’ll lead finance operations for the New Zealand entity. This covers reporting, tax, treasury and compliance, alongside genuine commercial input into the direction of the business. You’ll lead a small finance team through a business that moves fast and expects people to adapt with it.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month end close, audits and strategic variance analysis
• Own governance, cost control and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance (FBT, GST, IFRS, transfer pricing)
• Manage cash flow, treasury and FX reporting
• Business partner to the MD and business leads, analysing business cases, budgets and growth opportunities
• Provide managers with financial analysis, reporting, monthly operational reviews and recommendations to support planning and business decisions
• Lead, coach and develop a finance operations team spanning AP, AR and accounting
• Partner cross functionally with Supply Chain, Customer Support, Marketing and Warehouse/3PL
• Continuously improve financial systems, procedures and controls to support operations

Key Skills & Experience Required

• CA/CPA qualified, with 5+ years as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar
• Proven leadership of a finance operations team including AP/AR
• Strong multi-jurisdictional tax exposure (FBT, GST, IFRS, transfer pricing)
• Comfortable with multi-currency reporting, ideally with FX translation experience
• Practical ERP experience, JD Edwards or similar highly regarded
• Commercially minded and genuinely curious about the business beyond the numbers
• Resilient and adaptable, comfortable operating through constant change
• Multinational or global business exposure viewed favourably, not essential
