Our client is a well-established New Zealand service business.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role supports the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts. You’ll play a key part in strengthening financial accounting processes and internal controls, with close involvement in the year-end audit and half-year and year-end financial statements.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile month-end balance sheet accounts across all ledgers
- Prepare monthly journals, including standing journals
- Manage fixed asset entries and general ledger reconciliations
- Ensure IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 compliance
- Process WIP and commissions accurately and reliably
- Partner with the business on month-end provisions and accruals
- Support the year-end audit and half-year/year-end financial statements
Key Skills & Experience Required
- CA/CPA qualified
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and their practical application
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative style balanced with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable delivering high volumes of quality work at pace
- Curious mindset, keen to learn and improve processes
