About the Company
Our client is a large, established New Zealand manufacturing business with a significant operational footprint across multiple sites.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, you will cover a senior FP&A maternity leave across a 14 month fixed term. The role managing the financial planning and reporting cycles, incorporating the annual strategic plan & budget cycles and the monthly reporting & forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver monthly management reporting including actuals analysis, variance commentary and forecast outlook
- Own cash flow reporting and working capital analysis
- Lead the annual budget cycle across all five sites
- Drive business improvement and cost optimisation initiatives
- Review business cases and capex proposals
- Complete post-investment reviews on selected capital projects
- Partner with site finance, operations and sales teams on product costing and customer profitability
- Identify and drive process improvements across the finance function
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- CA qualified (CAANZ or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or a complex operational environment
- Strong FP&A background — budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow
- Comfortable presenting the “why and so what” behind the numbers to senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority across a broad stakeholder group
