Group GM FInance

This is an outstanding opportunity to join an well known NZ business with various businesses spanning across a number of industries. They are experiencing a period of transformation and this newly created role will bolster the depth of experience across this high calibre team. 

The purpose of this role is to support the CFO in leading the Group finance function. You will lead the preparation of consolidated financial reports, analytical reviews, treasury operations, cash flow reporting and taxation calculations. 

Responsibilities: 

• Leading the consolidated group financial reporting process ensuring accurate financial reports are delivered on a timely basis
• Working with the CFO and peers to draft and review reporting decks and regulatory returns
• Assisting as required with financial and tax due diligence of acquisition targets and subsequent onboarding of acquired businesses, including opening balance entries
• Provide financial support to major CAPEX projects and business cases
• Alongside external advisers, ensure timely preparation of key tax and regulatory filings and the Group meets all of its reporting and payment obligations
• Creating and managing the daily and forecast cash flow for the Group and updating high level sources and applications of funds for net debt monitoring
• Assist the CFO in managing the Group’s banking facilities and continually reviewing facility limits for adequacy against future Group requirements

Core Competencies and Experience:

• 8-10 years’ experience in financial leadership roles
• Demonstrated success leading the group consolidations and audit process in a complex or multinational business
• A grounding in a big 4 CA firm will be highly advantageous 
• Strong personal and communication skills to build relationships across the organisation and influence senior management
• Track record of ‘can do’, ‘roll up sleeves’ action and results orientation
