As the Group Inventory Manager, you will be a key member of the Silver Fern Farms Logistics Leadership Team. Your key objective will be to develop and lead the Inventory Management function and to enhance current inventory control practices and deployment of Inventory Governance Strategy.
The role will be responsible for the enhancement and deployment of a standardised risk management process and a robust Governance Strategy. Leading a team of two Inventory Controllers you build a nationwide ’çold store community’ and systemised reporting to improve inventory policies, performance, inventory accuracy, decision-making, audit systems, training materials and delivery, and plant-based inventory standards.
Customer centricity will be essential for this role, while also needing to understand complex and dynamic supply chains within an export environment. Having a strong commercial understanding of how robust inventory management can influence company performance, inventory-turn and production efficiency will be essential. A strong focus on process improvement will be needed as Silver Fern Farms enters an exciting phase of introducing new systems and processes to enhance the capability within its Inventory Management and wider Logistics Functions.
