Head of Lending
As the Head of Lending, you will be at the forefront of lending initiatives, driving growth, cultivating strong relationships within the charitable sector, and leading a high-performing lending team. You will manage a diverse portfolio, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional, personalised service to borrowers.
Reporting directly to the CEO and as a member of the leadership team, you will help steer the organisation towards its strategic objectives.
  
Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end loan application process, ensuring adherence to the Credit Risk Policy.
  • Continuously improve the lending process through automation, enhanced customer experience, and best-practice reporting.
  • Design and manage the organisation’s credit decisioning framework.
  • Conduct credit assessments for large or complex transactions.
  • Manage the client portfolio to balance risk and meet strategic goals.
  • Regularly review existing loans to monitor performance and mitigate risk.
  • Promote and grow investment activity within the lending client base.
  • Develop new business opportunities and market lending offerings to potential partners.
  • Ensure full compliance with AML/CFT regulations and maintain ongoing compliance.
  • Deliver timely reporting on loan applications, drawdowns, and portfolio performance.
  • Provide accurate lending forecasts to support liquidity and capital planning.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Analysts and Relationship Managers.

About you
You are an experienced financial services professional with a strong moral compass and a passion for advancing social outcomes. You bring deep expertise in lending, credit, and risk management. Candidates from financial assurance or financial management backgrounds, who are keen to transition into lending, are also encouraged to apply.
You are a confident leader with a continuous improvement mindset, experienced in managing teams and building client relationships. This is a highly commercial role, ideal for someone motivated by both financial performance and social purpose.
