The Opportunity
  
As Head of Transport, you will lead the evolution of transport operations across the South Island. Responsible for the entire transport function, you will oversee safe, reliable and strategically aligned operations that meet the changing needs of the business and its stakeholders.

This role requires a blend of operational insight and strategic leadership. You will continue to shape the transport function through innovation, process improvement and the development of your team – ensuring excellence across safety, service and operational efficiency. You will influence business outcomes and deliver measurable results across a complex network, while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Guide and develop a high-performing transport team across a large and diverse operation.
• Shape and implement transport initiatives that support organisational growth, sustainability and service objectives.
• Oversee primary and secondary freight operations, ensuring reliability, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to optimise delivery accuracy, operational efficiency and overall service.
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to enhance service outcomes.
• Promote a culture that values safety, accountability and teamwork throughout the transport function.
• Take full commercial accountability for this extensive transport operation.
