Due to an internal promotion, ongoing growth and opportunities, a new position has become available for an Inventory Controller to join their team based in Tauranga. 

The Opportunity


As the Inventory Controller, you will be part of the supply chain team to help continue to build efficient and reliable processes across their inventory functions to support efficient stock control of inbound raw materials through to finished good inventory. 

Your responsibilities will include, though not be limited to:

  • Track inventory both physically and using the MRP system to ensure accurate record keeping
  • Coordinate processes for inwards and outwards goods movement and storage
  • Drive improvements across systems, processes and procedures
  • Ensure inventory is receipted in correctly and recorded in their designated bin locations
  • Create SOP’s for all new processes across the inventory function
  • Build strong relationships with production teams and suppliers
  • Reporting on IRA and fast/slow moving items

You will also be a key support to the Logistics Manager and support the team of Inventory Assistants in their close knit team. 

What’s in it for you?

You have practical and hands on inventory experience within a warehousing environment and enjoy building relationships with multiple stakeholders across the business. We are ideally looking for someone who has experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment where you have had inventory exposure working with raw materials, finished goods along with spare parts inventory. Experience with MRP and reporting is also a real advantage. 
You will enjoy a wide scope of responsibilities and relish the challenges this role will provide as you continue to develop your inventory skills and experience, maintaining high standards and driving positive changes. The business is growing rapidly and taking on lots of exciting projects and the successful person will have the opportunity to take on further growth as they progress in the business.
