About the role:
Are you looking to advance your career from your current transactional purchasing role? Our client has an opening in their procurement team where there is a need for a junior category manager/procurement specialist.
You will take responsibility for the end to end of this category including forecasting the demand, managing the inventory, placing purchase orders and working with the procurement manager to evaluate suppliers. The procurement team take care of managing inventory and arranging for supply in four DCs around the country.
You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to problem solve in an ever changing environment and you will have a positive attitude despite the frequent supply chain issues impacting the business and their orders on a regular basis.
Strong analytical capability is a must in this role as there is a need for report reading and writing. You will have good attention to detail with the transactional part of your role. Your ability to communicate and influence is a must as you will be fronting suppliers and liaising with customers.
