National Account Executive

The Role:

As National Account Executive, your role would involve driving core sales processes, providing analytical and category support, and managing Vendor Managed Inventory for Foodstuffs South Island. You will play a key role in supporting the NZ Sales team and ensuring the smooth execution of sales activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive core sales processes, including sales performance reporting, trade spend tracking, and promotional effectiveness analysis.
• Provide market scan data reporting (IRI data), field team performance tracking, and NPD launch tracking.
• Support category reviews, space management/planogram development, and ad hoc analysis requirements.
• Assist with promotional planning and review, maintaining schedules and confirmations, and managing accrual and trade spend.
• Review and amend proposed orders, report on service levels, and attend monthly and quarterly performance meetings.

Key Experience:

• A business degree is preferred.
• 2-3 years of analytical or field-based sales experience, ideally within FMCG or grocery.
• Career-driven with a positive, enthusiastic attitude and a team player mentality.
• Methodical, analytical, and a strong problem-solver.
• Excellent verbal reasoning and articulation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IRI (market scan data), Apollo (space management), and Promax (accrual management) preferred but not essential.
