The opportunity – National Livestock Manager
Reporting to the General Manager of Agribusiness, you will take on a key leadership role combining overall responsibility for animal welfare, biosecurity, planning, operations, people management and commercial responsibilities. Your primary objective will be to lead and execute livestock operations including the day-to-day affairs while working towards the wider strategic development of the farm network in order to deliver on P&L expectations around budget setting and cost delivery.

You will own livestock responsibilities for the national farm network, working cohesively with the wider business in a responsive manner to changing market demands.
Your previous knowledge and experience in developing and fostering strong business relationships with suppliers, customers and key stakeholders in an agri-business, primary industry or similar environments, will ensure you deliver continuous and sustainable benefits to the business. Your demonstrated ability to evaluate and investigate current and alternative technologies, practices and systems will guarantee you provide the required quality, price, service and support to your stakeholders and customers.
Your collaborative style will enable you to partner with key internal and external stakeholders to provide strategic direction and champion Livestock interests. Your proven experience in the development and implementation of commercial and operational strategies, policies and processes, will position you well in leading the business towards best-practice operations and livestock management.

The role requires some travel throughout the North and South Island to enable you to work closely and one-on-one with your stakeholders. The success of your input and the farm network will directly impact the operational, financial and commercial performance of the wider business. The role offers you a diverse range of responsibilities encompassing leadership, financial management, strategic and operational planning, risk management, HSE, compliance, relationship management, continuous improvement and everything else in between!
