The opportunity – based in Dunedin
As the Order Fulfilment Manager, you will develop and lead the newly created Order Fulfilment Function for Silver Fern Farms. You will be responsible for maximising the order fulfilment of Silver Fern Farms’ global customer demand and the fulfilment of its extended supply chain, while effectively working within its operational, cold store and logistics constraints.
The role will be responsible for efficiently converting customer demand into ~20,000 TEU containers movements, from 22 domestic cold store locations to over 60 countries around the world. The role will lead a team of 26 shipping and documentation roles based in Dunedin & Hastings. Reporting to the Group Logistics Manager the role will form part of the Silver Fern Farms Logistics Lead Team working closely with the Logistics Operations Manager, Equipment & Inventory Manager, and the Commercial Analyst.
Customer centricity will be essential for this role, while also needing to understand complex and dynamic supply chains within an export environment. Having a strong commercial understanding of how order fulfilment can influence company performance, inventory-turn and production efficiency will be essential. A strong focus on process improvement will be needed as Silver Fern Farms enters an exciting phase of introducing new systems and processes to enhance the capability within its Order Fulfilment and wider Logistics Functions. The role will be heavily involved in the introduction of digital supply chain tools that will optimise business decision making & processes and build trust & transparency with the consumer.
