Outbound Manager – Logistics
- High performing team in a busy environment.
- Great manager to learn from who wants this person to succeed.
- Interesting portfolio of clients which will need a problem solver.
Our client is one of the largest fully integrated logistics providers operating in New Zealand. Due to their global supply chain ties and local network, they are in a prime position to grow their market share as an end to end solution for both domestic and international clients.
Our client deals with a variety of commodities across all industries and has a close link across the Tasman that refers business through where possible. There is also a heavy focus on technology to help both internally and create more visibility for customers externally. This role will have a domestic logistics focus.
This role is reporting to the Logistics Operations Manager for their South Auckland distribution centre. This site has experienced considerable growth since the first COVID lockdown as the domestic customer base for these products has gone through the roof.
They are doing nearly three times the volume when it comes to cubic metres of freight being distributed from the warehouse floor, hence days at this site are never dull. You will be part of a team of 6 which includes pick packers, inventory control and inbound staff.
This role is challenging but you will have the full support of the Site Manager to make changes and improve efficiencies for the better. We need someone who is hands on as this won’t suit someone who sits behind a desk. The hiring manager wants someone who adaptable, willing to learn and have the potential to move in to a Warehouse Manager position reasonably quickly.
What’s in it for you…
Challenging role reporting to an experienced manager who wants you to succeed. Future opportunities to be a Warehouse Manager once you have proved yourself.
Fast paced, rewarding environment dealing with an interesting portfolio of commercial, retail and direct to consumer clients. Competitive remuneration and benefits for the right person.
