About the Role:
With an immediate start, our client is looking for someone to cover their Supply Chain Lead position on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is primarily focused on planning and procurement, ensuring the right stock is available at the right time.
In this role you will be responsible for forecasting demand, managing supplier relationships and ensuring procurement strategies align with business needs. You will also have one direct report who handles local purchasing, while you take the lead on strategic procurement and inventory planning. The role is office-based Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Oversee procurement and inventory planning to maintain raw material availability for production
✔ Work closely with local and overseas suppliers, contract manufacturers and freight providers
✔ Improve forecast accuracy and demand planning in collaboration with sales teams
✔ Manage reporting on key supply chain KPIs (inventory, supplier performance, DIFOT)
✔ Provide mentorship and guidance to the local purchasing specialist
✔ Support process and system improvements to enhance efficiency
About You:
You are a supply chain professional with experience in procurement and planning within a manufacturing environment (these manufacturing environments being either automotive, electronics or construction). You enjoy working with multiple stakeholders and thrive in a dynamic environment.
