Description

About the Company:
Our client is a leading provider in the transport and logistics sector, operating nationwide with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence. The business has solid commercial backing and is committed to strengthening its commercial capability as part of an ongoing transformation journey. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where people work closely together, decisions are made quickly, and support is always close at hand.

The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a capable and motivated procurement professional to join the organisation in a sole-charge Procurement Manager role. Working closely with an experienced leadership team, you’ll lead day-to-day procurement activity across a broad supplier base and contribute to improving commercial outcomes across the business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured, well-connected environment where collaboration happens in real time, often by grabbing a quick chat with a colleague. You’ll have clear direction, regular engagement with senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to learn from experienced operators across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and delivery of procurement activity across key spend areas.
  • Acting as the central coordination point for procurement enquiries and supplier interactions.
  • Partnering closely with executive leadership and operational teams to ensure commercial activity aligns with business needs.
  • Supporting cost rationalisation and identifying opportunities for strategic sourcing across critical supplier groups.
  • Providing procurement expertise on contracts, supplier performance, and commercial negotiations.

About You
You will bring proven procurement experience and a collaborative, hands-on approach. You are someone who builds strong relationships quickly, communicates with clarity and confidence, and enjoys working closely with stakeholders at all levels. You thrive in environments where you can take ownership, stay adaptable, and contribute meaningfully to commercial and operational outcomes. Your ability to organise, prioritise and stay calm under pressure will set you up for success in this sole charge role.

What’s in it for you:
You’ll be joining a tight-knit, collaborative organisation where you can build strong internal relationships and gain exposure across all parts of the business. This is an environment where you’ll receive guidance when you need it, have clear expectations, and be trusted to deliver meaningful work that directly contributes to operational performance.

With variety in your day-to-day tasks and the opportunity to develop your commercial skillset, this is a great step for a procurement professional looking to advance their capability in a supportive, hands-on environment.

If you’re a motivated, experienced procurement professional who enjoys working closely with others and contributing to a busy, high-energy team, we’d love to hear from you.

If this sounds like the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply now or contact Dan Hearty on 021 192 5460 for a confidential discussion.
