About the Role:

In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of precision-engineered components for advanced machinery. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will work alongside two other Purchasing Specialists and two Purchasing Coordinators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Your focus will be on MRP-driven purchasing, aligning procurement activities with production schedules and business demand. You will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams, manage supplier relationships and identify new sourcing opportunities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procuring components based on MRP-generated demand to meet production schedules.
  • Collaborating with the engineering design team to ensure the correct materials are sourced.
  • Managing supplier relationships, including contract reviews, performance evaluations, and negotiations to optimise cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Running RFX processes and identifying new sourcing opportunities.
  • Monitoring and adjusting procurement plans to align with changing production needs and inventory levels.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced purchasing professional with a background in MRP-driven procurement and supplier management within a manufacturing environment. Your ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is critical as it will ensure accuracy in sourcing the right components.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in MRP driven purchasing
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings for accurate component sourcing.
  • Strong supplier management skills with experience working with local and international suppliers.
  • A meticulous approach to data accuracy and a proactive mindset for process improvement.
