The opportunity 
You will take on an integral role in the supply chain team. Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Production Planner is responsible for the day-to-day management of materials, working as part of a team to achieve optimum stock holding to ensure continuity of supply whilst containing working capital to a minimum. This is a pivotal role where you will work closely with key stakeholders across the business including supply chain, procurement, sales, and manufacturing.
  
This is a varied role and your key responsibilities will include (though not be limited to):

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and capacity plans
  • Effective management of supply planning and any constraints or challenges to day-to-day production targets
  • Lead S&OP from a production planning perspective
  • Resolve daily production issues and communicate the outcome to relevant stakeholders
  • To maintain, monitor, and report KPIs and complete all administration required within materials and packaging management
  • Contribute at operational meetings, provide feedback to the team and make recommendations to improve performance
  • Continuously maintain and improve systems and procedures for materials control
  • Process purchase orders and maintenance of accurate master data
  • Continuously build and develop long-lasting customer and supplier relationships
  • Provide weekly forecast updates to the supply base, highlighting key events and changes
