About the role:
This is a 12 month fixed term contract. This maternity cover role requires someone who is experienced in purchasing, inventory control and demand forecasting.
You will be working in a fast paced environment and your ability to work with urgency and accuracy is essential to this role.
Based in West Auckland, this role will see you responsible for working with the warehousing and manufacturing team to ensure that stock takes/cycle counts occur so that stock levels in the system can be matched or investigated. You will also be responsible for reviewing data to develop a demand forecast.
On the back of this, you will be placing purchase orders for raw materials with pre-established suppliers both locally and offshore. You will be working with Freight Forwarders to arrange the movement of goods from the suppliers to our clients DC. You will update shipping schedules and communicate with a number of internal stakeholders in and around the goods movements.
You will know how import works and have experience in it as you will be working through all import documentation.
