A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their growing team and provide leadership and hands-on purchasing and supplier relationship management.

The Opportunity
As the Purchasing Manager, you will manage, lead and control all aspects of the purchasing, and supplier relationship management activities.

Your responsibilities will include, though not be limited to:

  • Full responsibility for supplier relationship management and purchasing across the New Zealand business
  • Lead, coach and develop the Purchasing Team (of two Purchasing Coordinators)
  • Develop and implement a purchasing plan
  • Drive improvements across systems, processes and procedures
  • Ensure optimal inventory management, purchasing and supply chain performance 
  • Manage collaborative key stakeholder relationships across the business – principally in Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Management and Finance

Whilst this is largely a hands-on leadership role focused on operational purchasing and planning, there is a clear opportunity to take on further responsibility as the business continues to grow.
