Our client is a rapidly growing manufacturing organisation delivering a range of products into the building and construction industry. They now have an opportunity for an energetic and committed individual with purchasing and buying experience from within a manufacturing environment.
The key functions of the position are:
- Improve the overall buying function of the organisation,
- Enhance spend visibility,
- Working closely with suppliers to enhance cost-effectiveness,
- Management of supplier performance against SLAs,
- Ensure the timely delivery of products to the business.
To be successful in your application you’ll have around 5 years’ experience in purchasing, buying or procurement; preferably with a manufacturing or production organisation. You will be energetic and a clear communicator and have strong numerical and analytical skills. An understanding of inventory management will also be an advantage. Ideally, you will be tertiary qualified and have a working knowledge of a major ERP system.
