Having been in operation for more than 30 years, this leading high-end health care and medical supplies business have experienced continued growth across New Zealand and Australia. The size of their business allows them to partner with some of the most reputable brands in their industry, this is supported through their multiple sites across New Zealand and Australia.
Reporting directly into an impressive and well-experienced CFO, with the support of 2 direct reports, this role will lead the financial and management reporting for both the NZ and Aus operations. With autonomy and freedom to lead the team as well as driving process improvements, you will also be expected to become a trusted business partner to various business unit leaders to drive financial performance as well as providing them with real-time visibility of how they’re tracking.
This role will only grow with time, however, some of the initial key responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to);
- Preparation of all financial & management reporting
- Supporting the annual budgets & all relevant forecast
- Managing the audit process
- Preparation & filing of NZ & Aus tax returns
- Provide financial & commercial advice to management & key internal stakeholders
- Prepare business cases with supporting analysis & commentary to the sales leaders
- Leadership, mentoring & coaching for your direct reports
- General support to the CFO & senior leadership team as required
To be considered for this position you must be a fully qualified accountant (CA, CPA or equivalent). Ideally, you will have trained within a large CA firm as well as having between 2 – 6 years of industry experience under your belt. Experience in, and knowledge of how a business with inventory OR a physical supply chain will be highly advantageous to your application. You must be someone who is happy to be hands-on at times whilst being able to lead a successful team. You will also be exposed to various projects and ad-hoc work from the senior leadership team so your ability to multi-task, prioritise your workload and communicate effectively is imperative.
