The Company:
My client are a trusted name in New Zealand and have been operating for over 50 years, this well known retail group have stores located across the country and have grown their brand in recent years.
The Role:
Working for one of the groups most exciting business units and reporting to the Group CFO the Senior Management Accountant will have a key focus on completing the budgeting and forecasting cycles as well as Board reporting, financial and commercial analysis and month end tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation and analysis of monthly and annual results
- Providing commentary and presenting financial results to the senior leadership team
- Assist with annual budgets and the quarterly forecasting process
- Liaise with external Tax Accountants
- Manage daily cashflow requirements
- Assist and perform in other ad hoc tasks around the business
About you:
To be considered for this position you must be a fully qualified accountant (ideally trained within a large professional services firm) . It will be highly advantageous if you have experience in, or knowledge of the retail industry. You must be a commercially savvy accountant with expert communication skills, enabling you to be an influential business part to senior stakeholders, enabling the business to make strategic decisions.
