Description

This organisation has a significant presence amongst corporate and business clients and are looking to make an additional hire to the team – an individual who has considerable experience in the development and execution of a range of strategic initiatives and decisions, that will overall align to the wider bank strategy. Their brand is established; they’re a known and trusted entity, with an extensive team located in Auckland.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work alongside and support the Head of Strategy and other Senior Leaders in both the Business and Corporate Banking business lines, to develop strategies that accelerate the growth and achievement of both business lines goals.
  • Interpret data to compile strategic insights, filter information for what is relevant and appropriate, whilst using judgement and business acumen to ensure our strategy is aligned for maximum impact.
  • Provide consulting support to understand and cut through strategic challenges; develop tactical plans and strategic responses.
  • Build relationships with Executive and Senior Leadership to gain a deep understanding of our businesses and combine this knowledge with insight and analysis to develop strategic responses.
  • Use quantitative research techniques including financial analysis, data modelling and statistical analysis for report generating.

Skillset and experience required to be successful:

  • 7+ years of experience from a large corporate, professional services or a strategy consulting firm; with a minimum of 5 years spent in a strategy role, executing strategic concepts and initiatives, using various models and tools.
  • Proven consulting experience supported by strong business acumen and with an understanding of Banking / Financial Services.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with Executive and Senior Leadership team members, whilst also building effective networks with both internal and external partners.
