A well established and regarded business who specialise in outsourced warehousing and distribution of some of NZ’s leading brands and products in the FMCG space. 
  
They pride themselves on delivering a quality product and service with an emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.   

An opportunity has come up for a Shift Manager to lead one of their morning teams with a key focus around front line leadership and ensuring all orders are fulfilled on each shift.

The opportunity
 
The Shift Manager is responsible for maintaining an efficient and productive warehouse team which ensures the agreed outcomes are achieved in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role is primarily responsible for workplace health and safety, training and overall shift operations of the Warehouse.  
 
The Shift Manager has the responsibility for the effective utilisation of all allocated resources and communicates with and supports warehouse management in meeting customer objectives, whilst continually looking for opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.
 
The role will take the lead in introducing continuous improvements in processes and equipment across the
site and work to ensure maximum efficiencies are achieved to deliver acceptable commercial returns while
adhering to all OH&S and legislative requirements.
 
Broadly, the scope of your role will include, though not be limited to:

  • Leadership of your shift
  • Ensure all daily orders are correctly picked, packed and dispatched to meet DIFOT
  • Health & Safety
  • Quality
  • Resource and labour management in conjunction with the Operations Manager
  • Working with ERP and WMS systems to ensure accuracy of all data

Having an outgoing personality and being someone your team can trust and rely on will be the critical components to your success in this role.
