Description
The Company
Our client is a well-established New Zealand FMCG business with a strong portfolio of trusted brands distributed across domestic and international markets, including key regions in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America.
The business has built its reputation on product quality, innovation, and a genuine commitment to the consumer, and is now entering a period of focused growth. This is a business where supply chain leadership has direct commercial influence.
The Opportunity
This is an end-to-end supply chain leadership role with genuine scope and visibility. As Supply Chain Manager, you will take ownership of the full planning and supply function across all markets, with accountability spanning demand and supply planning, supplier management, and commercial contracting.
You will lead the ANZ Demand and Supply Reviews within the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle, set the standard for forecast accuracy, and maintain the inventory discipline needed to protect working capital and margin performance. With four direct reports and deep cross-functional reach, this role sits at the centre of the business and has a clear line to the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of four across purchasing, supply chain, and planning, building a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement.
- Own the monthly Demand and Supply Review process, delivering decision-ready insights, scenarios, and recommended actions to leadership.
- Develop robust, unconstrained demand forecasts across all entities, brands, channels, and markets, incorporating promotional activity, NPD pipelines, and customer intelligence.
- Manage replenishment strategies for finished goods across ANZ, covering domestic manufacture, co-manufacture, and imports, including high-level production planning oversight.
- Own inventory policy and planning parameters; monitor inventory health across aged and slow-moving stock, forward cover, service levels, and working capital exposure.
- Build and manage senior supplier relationships, leading negotiations for new and renewed supply agreements to deliver commercially sound outcomes.
- Drive planning systems optimisation across ERP, forecasting tools, and reporting platforms; implement KPIs, dashboards, and process improvements to lift planning maturity across the business.
About You
You bring solid experience in demand and supply planning within FMCG or consumer goods, and have led multi-disciplinary planning teams through periods of change or growth.
You have a strong working knowledge of forecasting and supply planning methodology, hands-on IBP or S&OP experience, and confident proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and analytical tools.
As a leader, you invest in your people, communicate with clarity across all levels of the business, and bring the commercial judgement to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational demands. You are passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes and setting and leading a high-performance culture.
What’s In It for You
This is a career-defining move for an aspiring FMCG supply chain leader who wants more than an operational remit. You will have direct exposure to the senior leadership team, genuine influence over commercial performance, and the platform to build and develop a high-performing planning function.
The business is growing, the leadership team is engaged, and there is real scope to leave a lasting mark.
This opportunity will suit an established supply chain manager or a planning manager with leadership experience looking to step up, learn, develop, and progress.
