An iconic name locally and internationally, this NZX listed business is looking to appoint a Treasury Accounting Manager to join their dynamic, fast-paced and high calibre team.
As the Treasury Accounting Manager, you will report through to the Group Financial Controller, with responsibility for:
- Preparation of half yearly and annual financial statements and external reports for Treasury-related items
- Management of two direct reports
- Stakeholder management, supporting a number of GM level internal stakeholders
- Ensuring the accurate and timely accounting for all treasury instruments
- Hedge accounting
- Partnering with the Treasury team on new / planned transactions – debt raising, capital notes, derivative instruments etc.
- Loan and covenant reporting
- Management of inter-company loan balances
- Mark to market valuations of treasury instruments
- Continuous improvement initiatives and the development of a world class finance function
- Project related and ad-hoc tasks
To be considered for this opportunity, you will be professionally qualified (CA, CPA or equivalent) with 4-5 years post qualification experience, ideally in a treasury accounting capacity. A background in Big 4 or mid-tier corporate audit is advantageous, as is knowledge of IAS 32, IAS 39, and IFRS 9. You will have a confident and engaging interpersonal style, experienced communicating with and supporting senior leaders in a large, complex corporate setting.
