Description

About the Company:

Our client is an innovative and fast-growing distribution business and is making serious moves in their own import and distribution activity and 3PL offering. Backed by a successful, privately owned parent group with operations across the Asia-Pacific region, they’ve built a reputation for agile, customer-focused supply chain solutions.

With three large-scale warehouses, a dedicated fleet and a growing network of partners, the business is expanding rapidly — and has big plans for the future. Their model is built around smart thinking, continuous improvement and delivering real value for customers through tailored logistics and warehousing solutions. It’s a great time to join a business that’s scaling fast and investing in the future of the supply chain.

About the Role:

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for leading and implementing operational improvement initiatives across warehousing, logistics, systems and partner collaboration.

Your goal: deliver value for the business and its customers through smarter processes, better systems and stronger performance in the warehousing and logistic operations.

You will work cross-functionally with internal teams, 4PL partners and key customers to identify bottlenecks, design and implement solutions, lead software rollouts, and continuously optimise how the supply chain operates.

Key areas of focus include capacity and utilisation across warehouse and fleet assets, end-to-end process improvement, system adoption and driving high-impact customer value delivery programmes. KPIs will include cost optimisation, process efficiency, service levels, and project delivery outcomes.

About You:

Auckland based, this is a permanent opportunity for a New Zealand resident or citizen. You’re an operations professional who thrives on finding better ways to do things. Whether it’s through data, technology or collaboration, you bring structure to complexity and enjoy seeing improvements turn into real-world results.

Here’s what you’ll likely bring to the table:

  • Proven experience in warehousing, logistics or supply chain operations — ideally in a 3PL or 4PL setting.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capability and a systems mindset.
  • Familiarity with WMS, TMS, or ERP systems and confidence acting as the go-between for business and IT.
  • Great communication skills — you’re confident working with internal teams, partners, and customers alike.
  • A hands-on, solutions-focused approach with strong planning, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.

You’re someone who leads with energy, professionalism, and a desire to be part of something ambitious. You get things done, enjoy variety and are excited by the opportunity to help shape how a growing business delivers value at scale.
