A leading global freight forwarder with extensive networks and a solid presence in the New Zealand market is seeking a Customer Service Representative. This role involves joining their Auckland-based Customer Service team, with ample opportunities for growth and career development within the company.
About the role
As a Customer Service Representative, you will deliver top-notch service and drive business growth. Collaborating with the Sales and Operations teams, you will be responsible for managing clients’ import/export orders, engaging directly with them to understand their needs, and guiding them throughout the freight forwarding process. Your role is essential in building lasting relationships, providing timely shipment updates, and efficiently resolving issues. With a focus on client satisfaction and retention, you will be a key player in the company’s success.
About you
- You will have a strong understanding of international freight forwarding with a minimum of 2 years’ experience within New Zealand and comprehensive knowledge of sea freight and/or airfreight, whether in import or export.
- You will have a proven ability to manage a portfolio of customers, maintaining and growing strong relationships.
- Tech savvy, particularly in MS Office, as some reporting tasks require Excel use.
- Having previous experience with CargoWise is preferred but not essential.
- The ability to manage time effectively, particularly when faced with tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both in writing and speaking.
- The ability to problem-solve beyond conventional methods.
