About the Role

The company is looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Representative to generate leads, schedule appointments for Business Development and Regional Managers, and help drive sales growth for the business through strategic outbound calls and relationship building with key organisations and across New Zealand.
Most of your outbound calls will be warm leads generated from inbound inquiries, but proactive prospecting will also be an important aspect of this role

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue prospective clients, generating high quality leads for senior salespeople across the business.
  • Contribute to sales growth through outbound calling to secure appointments and qualify opportunities.
  • Provide a positive experience when speaking prospective customers, ensuring brand integrity.
  • Support the overall sales strategy by identifying trends and opportunities, providing valuable feedback to the business.

About You

  • Excellent communicator with strong phone etiquette; sales-oriented and persuasive.
  • Skilled in handling objections and navigating gatekeepers; adept at managing challenging conversations and influencing outcomes.
  • Positive personality and attitude; experienced in supporting regional managers or senior sales professionals. Resilient and adaptable to various personalities.
  • Highly driven and motivated; consistently active on the phone. Disciplined in daily activities and well-organised.
  • Proven track record of success; comfortable with high-volume phone activity and cold calling. Energetic, enthusiastic, and a collaborative team player eager to contribute.
