Description

Hunter Campbell has proudly partnered with Tourism Holdings Limited (thl), the world’s largest provider of commercial RV rentals, in their search for a Head of Capital to lead the strategic management of capital assets across their global portfolio, with over $1 billion NZD in assets. Collectively they represent over 30 brands, each with strong brand equity and local heritage.

Founded and headquartered in New Zealand, thl has grown into a truly multi-national business, with operations spanning New Zealand, Australia, US, Canada, and the UK. The Head of Capital will play a pivotal role in optimising thl’s capital structure and asset investment strategy, whilst managing their balance sheet and the group’s long-term business forecasting.

The Opportunity
thl are seeking an ambitious, relationship-oriented Head of Capital to join their strategic finance team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this opportunity will see you lead a small team whilst managing a range of critical relationships across the board, executive, group finance, regional finance leads, funding partners and professional services.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and maintain the group-wide capital forecasting model, ensuring it accurately reflects operational and strategic inputs whilst delivering valuable insights that support informed executive and board-level decision-making.
  • Design and execute strategic frameworks to ensure the group’s capital structure is appropriately balanced to support both current operations and future growth.
  • Ensure effective treasury management by developing, implementing, and overseeing robust treasury policies, frameworks, and systems. This includes the management of liquidity, cash flow, FX exposures, interest rate risks, and working capital across international markets.
  • Provide and guide CAPEX planning and execution whilst overseeing the group’s approvals and tracking.
  • Own the funding strategy for the group by securing and managing variable funding arrangements to support operational and strategic requirements whilst maintaining and developing existing banking relationships.

About You
You will be an emerging finance leader who is commercially minded and ready to take on a high-impact role with significant scope for growth. You will have a strong background in capital markets, corporate finance, or investment banking; with the drive to broaden your remit where you will be navigating banking relationships, influencing capital decisions, and drive long-term financial planning.

  • Must have minimum 5–10 years of financial experience across corporate finance, capital markets, treasury, or investment banking, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Must have advanced financial modelling and forecasting expertise, with the strong ability to provide valuable insights.
  • Exceptional relationship management and communication skills; able to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external parties.
  • Have experience in debt and equity financing and the ability to navigate complex capital structures, ideally within listed or multi-national corporate environments.
  • You will have the capability and desire to thrive in a humble, resilient, and highly collaborative team environment.

What’s in it for you?
This is a rare opportunity to join a dual-listed NZX and ASX multi-national corporation at a pivotal stage of its growth. Offering executive-level exposure and oversight of group capital strategy, this mandate represents one of the few roles of its kind currently available in the New Zealand market. It is an excellent role for an experienced lead with future ambitions to progress towards a CFO position.
