Key Responsibilities:

As Group Accounting Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of the Group accounting function, ensuring accurate, timely reporting, strong controls, and reliable financial data across the business. You will lead key close and compliance deliverables while continuously improving processes and systems to support scale.

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, and consolidations across group.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and resolve close-related issues while driving continuous improvement.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of IFRS-compliant year-end statutory financial statements.
  • Implement and maintain an “audit-ready” financial controls environment across the group.
  • Drive system and process improvements across finance platforms (e.g. Xero, Cin7) with a strong compliance mindset.
  • Lead group tax planning, compliance, and filings.
  • Oversee intercompany and transfer pricing matters, ensuring appropriate documentation and alignment.

About You:

You must be a qualified accountant (CA, CPA or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience in a financial accounting role. Knowledge of E-Commerce, FMCG, Manufacturing or similar industries will be highly advantageous. Experience in a high-growth and fast-paced environment is desirable. You will have a strong technical background and in depth understanding of NZ IFRS, financial accounting practices, financial systems and audit.
You will be autonomous, driven and self-directed with a track-record of delivering multiple workstreams to deadline. You show initiative and innovation and have the ability to solve complex issues with sound judgement. Excellent interpersonal skills will help you engage across multiple teams and partner with key stakeholders.

The opportunity – Corporate Finance Analyst
Reporting to the Head of Analytics and Investor Relations, this newly created position plays a key role in supporting strategic decision making. You will be responsible for financial modelling, market analysis and corporate planning.
Your remit will include maintaining and enhancing the corporate financial model, business planning, transactions support and preparing materials for executive leadership, investor communications, and external reporting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance the corporate financial model
  • Assist in the preparation of earnings forecasts, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into performance against budget
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, long-term business plans, and the evaluation of strategic initiatives
  • Forecast capital funding requirements, liquidity and covenant compliance
  • Assist with the preparation of investor presentations for CEO, Deputy CEO and CFO
  • Preparation of NZX market announcements and disclosures
  • Peer benchmarking and market intelligence
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual business plan document, the annual report, Board reports, quarterly reports and other ad hoc papers

Skillset and experience to be successful

  • A tertiary degree in finance, economics and/or property 
  • 3 years + experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or deals/transactions
  • High level of proficiency in Excel including advanced financial modelling
  • Listed markets experience is viewed as advantageous as is exposure to commercial real estate, retirement or infrastructure sectors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will support strategic decision-making through detailed and robust financial and commercial analysis. You will play a broad internal advisory role, assisting senior leadership with financial due diligence, commercial insights, and comprehensive decision support as needed. This position will have a measurable impact on the organisation.
  
Your responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain robust financial models to support investment decisions, scenario planning, and valuation for strategic projects.
  • Lead financial planning, long-term business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, capital structure, treasury operations, and dividend policy to ensure financial stability and effective capital management.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, manage capital expenditure, and perform valuation and due diligence for strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and oversee reporting obligations, including credit facilities and shareholder requirements.
  • Act as a trusted business partner, providing commercial support, financial insights, and clear communication to operational teams and senior leadership to drive performance and strategic alignment.
  • Oversee day-to-day cash management, liquidity monitoring, and treasury operations to ensure financial stability and optimise working capital.
  • Lead equity calls, administer the dividend policy to maintain optimal cost of capital, and ensure effective overall capital structure management.
  • Prepare high-quality board papers, presentations, and financial insights to inform governance and executive decision-making.
  • Drive automation, digitisation, and process enhancements across finance functions to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.

  
Experience required
Fundamentally, this role requires a finance professional with strong analytical skills and the interpersonal profile to communicate effectively with a diverse stakeholder base. You will be comfortable working extensively in Excel, developing complex financial models to support investment decision-making.

You will also possess the interpersonal skills necessary to work collaboratively across the business — partnering and influencing to ensure insights are acted upon, opportunities are uncovered, and informed decisions are made.
Applications are welcomed from candidates with experience in Big 4 or mid-tier corporate finance, investment banking, or corporate roles. A CFA designation would be viewed as advantageous.
