About the role
  

Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, this is a hands-on, execution-focused role sitting within a small, tight-knit marketing team. Working closely with the CMO, you will translate strategy into execution across the full marketing mix. With strong brand awareness already established, the opportunity now is to deepen customer engagement and drive commercial results across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute campaigns that move customers through the funnel – from awareness to consideration to purchase
  • Own and improve the customer experience across digital, content, and physical retail touchpoints
  • Support the rollout of e-commerce and digital product initiatives, working closely with developers to ensure strong UX
  • Develop and manage content across channels including SEO, email, and web
  • Report on campaign performance and make data-informed recommendations
  • Create impactful person retail experiences that drive repeat purchases
  • Partner with Sales teams to deliver effective collateral, messaging, and campaign support
  • Act as the day-to-day marketing lead for the NZ Mint brand, working alongside the CMO and a small internal creative team

Key attributes needed

  • 5+ years of experience across brand, digital, and integrated campaign execution
  • Strong understanding of the customer journey and what drives conversion
  • Experience in financial services, premium consumer, or a similarly considered purchase environment
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and email marketing execution
  • Solid working knowledge of SEO and content marketing
  • An ownership mindset: someone who takes accountability from brief through to delivery

The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join an NZX-listed business with operations throughout New Zealand. As a prominent and long-standing brand, they are known for their diverse operations across multiple sectors. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will support strategic decision-making through detailed and robust financial and commercial analysis. You will play a broad internal advisory role, assisting senior leadership with financial due diligence, commercial insights, and comprehensive decision support as needed. This position will have a measurable impact on the organisation.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Provide financial modelling and commercial analysis to support significant projects, capital investment decisions (includes M&A), and strategic initiatives
  • Portfolio management, including performance monitoring, forecasting, and commercial assessment
  • Work closely with the CFO to support the design, direction, and delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Delivering clear and insightful strategic analysis across areas such as market trends, competitor benchmarking, and investment options
  • Supporting cross-functional strategy and transformation projects as directed by the CFO or CEO
  • Developing dashboards and KPI frameworks to track the performance of strategic initiatives
  • Preparing and reviewing key deliverables, including reports and presentations for stakeholders
  • Supporting other strategic projects across the business

This role requires a finance professional with strong analytical skills and the interpersonal profile to communicate effectively with a diverse stakeholder base. You will be comfortable working extensively in Excel, developing complex financial models to support investment decision-making.

You will also possess the interpersonal skills necessary to work collaboratively across the business — partnering and influencing to ensure insights are acted upon, opportunities are uncovered, and informed decisions are made.
Applications are welcomed from candidates with experience in Big 4 or mid-tier corporate finance, investment banking, or corporate roles. A CFA designation would be viewed as advantageous.
