About the company
 
A growing manufacturing business with a strong global footprint, supplying high-quality food and beverage ingredients worldwide. As the New Zealand site continues to expand, they are seeking a Supply Planner/Inventory Controller to join their team in Tokoroa.
 
About the role
 
In this critical role, you will develop and maintain supply plans that align with production forecasts and customer demand, ensuring a seamless flow of materials and inventory to meet production schedules and delivery targets. Your focus will be on optimising inventory levels, leveraging SAP and MRP systems, and collaborating across various teams to deliver outstanding results. You will also play a key role in driving process improvements and enhancing supply chain capabilities.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Create accurate supply plans based on production forecasts, customer demand, and seasonal variances.
  • Utilise SAP and MRP systems to manage production schedules and ensure the availability of raw materials and packaging.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, conducting regular reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
  • Implement strategies to optimise inventory, including setting safety stock levels and reorder points.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure supply plans align with business objectives.
  • Work closely with suppliers to address delivery issues and ensure timely shipments.
  • Track and report on key supply chain KPIs such as inventory turnover, service levels, and forecast accuracy.
  • Support SAP functionality upgrades and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

About You
 
The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with a solid background in supply planning and inventory management, ideally within the FMCG or dairy sector. You bring expertise in SAP and data analysis, complemented by strong planning, organisational, and communication skills. With a proactive and collaborative approach, you excel in fast-paced environments and are committed to driving improvements and achieving operational excellence.
 
Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum four years of experience in supply planning and inventory management, with strong SAP expertise.
  • Proven track record in data analysis and planning within the FMCG or dairy industry (advantageous).
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Supply chain qualification or equivalent on-the-job experience is highly desirable.
