The opportunity – Site Production Manager

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will take on a key leadership role combining responsibility for people management, overall daily operations, and the implementation of structured processes and procedures. Establishing this structure will go along way to supporting the wider team and maintaining the positive culture that is in place.

Over the past few years there has been significant financial investment to turn it into the organisations flagship North Island site. 
Your previous knowledge and experience within a food production or food processing environment will ensure you understand the fast paced nature of the business. The role represents a genuine opportunity for you to lay the foundations of the processes and procedures that will underpin everything operationally. You’ll have a systematic approach with good knowledge and understanding of the need for RMP and compliance. Whilst continuing to work hands on alongside your team.

Export Coordinator

About the Company   
A manufacturing business with a global presence supplying food and beverage ingredients worldwide. With the New Zealand site still in its infancy and in a stage of growth they are looking to bring on an Export Coordinator within the supply chain team.
About the opportunity   

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this Export Coordinator role is based in Tokoroa. In this role, you will manage and oversee all aspects of export operations.

  • Preparation of necessary documentation in compliance with international shipping (such as commercial invoices, packing lists and export declarations).
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs agents to guarantee efficient and timely shipments.
  • Act as the main contact for, vendors, and logistics partners, managing schedules, tracking shipments, and resolving shipping issues.
  • Keep constant communication with internal and external stakeholders to streamline order processing and update all parties on shipment statuses.
  • Manage all shipping-related costs, including expenses related to MPI, container holds, detention and demurrage.
  • Keep up with any changes in export regulations.

Key requirements  

  • Minimum 1 years in export operations, a strong understanding of compliance and regulations (beneficial but not necessary).
  • Excellent communication, the ability to communicate clearly with both multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Having a strategic mindset and a keen eye for detail will be a key advantage in this role as will a positive collaborative attitude.
  • Eager to learn and develop.
