This week Founding Partner Lee Marshall and Manager – Contract Jason Hinton are in the UK to host a series of events for Kiwi Accounting and Finance professionals working in London.
At the events, senior executives and entrepreneurs will share stories of their career journeys and Hunter Campbell will provide updates on the current employment market in New Zealand and Australia.
Hunter Campbell Founding Partner Lee Marshall says: “Being in London is a great opportunity for us to update Kiwis working there on where salaries are at, the areas of growth and the key skills that employers are looking for back at home.
“Traditionally a lot of New Zealanders working in Accounting and Finance who go to London come back for family and lifestyle reasons after several years. Hunter Campbell has conducted research among returning Kiwis and their experiences of coming home and looking for work are an insightful source of information for others thinking of doing the same.
“The skills and experience New Zealanders build up offshore are highly sought after back home. This trip is also a chance for us to connect with people planning to return so we can build up a pipeline of talent for our clients,” Lee says.
The first event Lee and Jason are hosting is a Business Breakfast on Tuesday 30 July where Sail GP Chief Financial and Business Officer Andrew Thompson will talk about his career, which has taken him around the world working for organisations including the America’s Cup.
At the second event on Wednesday 31 July, Lee and Jason are joining with CA-ANZ to co-host a discussion where panellists will be asked about their views on topics including leadership, learning, challenges and success.
Finally on Thursday 1 August, Hunter Campbell will co-host the Adapting in a Digital World event at New Zealand House alongside INFINZ and Massey University. Four guest speakers are joining the evening function to discuss the future of digital technology on the Finance sector and preparing for future change.
Lee says: “We have some fantastic speakers lined up who have a wealth of experience and knowledge to share and we’re really looking forward to hearing their stories.”
