Tom Storey

Consultant, Supply Chain, Operations and Procurement

About Tom

With a spotlight on bringing together clients and top talent across Supply Chain, Operations & Procurement, my value lies in taking a consultative approach while achieving an outstanding result.

For me, it’s about building strong relationships with clients without comprising on the understanding of their business or knowing exactly what their requirements are. By engaging with the relevant stakeholders from the beginning of a search, we have the best chance of success to facilitate the desired outcome. High-quality service delivery is something I was taught early on in my recruitment career and it’s something I take extreme pride in.

My recruitment expertise started seven years ago after completing my LLB at the University of Otago and practicing Law for two years when I was offered the chance to enter the recruitment consulting world in Singapore in 2014. For three years I recruited executive-level positions across Singapore, Southeast Asia and Japan, before moving back to NZ to start a family. Here in NZ, I have spent the last four and a half years in the Supply Chain field, recruiting across various industries and seniorities.

Throughout my years in the industry, I have developed strong relationships with clients through effectively managing expectations and providing exceptional communication. My goal is always to partner as closely as possible with clients to make sure we’re always heading in the right direction.

Life Outside the Office

After working in Asia for three years, my wife and I wanted to be closer to family, so we moved back from Singapore to start a family in Auckland. During the week, I probably eat more than I should, swim as much as I can and I’m getting progressively worse on the basketball court through my 30s. I love getting to the beach and hanging out with my wife and two young girls.
