About Wayne
Quite simply I connect talented supply chain candidates with exceptional supply chain opportunities. My extensive networks and experience in the sector make me a specialist Supply Chain, Operations and Procurement recruiter.
I’m passionate about achieving the best possible results for my clients and candidates. I do this through offering a bespoke solution to clients, by finding the best possible fit with their recruitment requirements.
Beyond the advantage of being incredibly well connected, I enjoy being able to provide salary advice, information on employer branding, availability of talent and advice on the best way to attract the right talent. I’ve had the opportunity to present to educational institutions and professional bodies on supply chain issues, employment forecasts and salary/careers advice – including CIPS, NZPICS and MIT.
My consultative style employs constructive questioning, honesty, and a straight-up approach. My proven capability is demonstrated by substantial repeat business and loyal clients for over a decade. My reputation as a trusted and effective recruitment partner to businesses of all sizes stems from my ability to attract and reach talent that organisations are not able to access themselves.
After university (many years ago!) I started my career as a Brewer for an award-winning craft ale brewery where I supported the Head Brewer in running the site as well as managed inventory, demand, supply and warehousing. I started my recruitment career in 2002 specialising in Accounting & Finance in both the UK and NZ markets before shifting my focus in 2010, to specialising in Supply Chain recruitment, including setting up two Supply Chain practices from scratch. I continue to specialise in recruitment and search for Supply Chain Operations and Procurement as well as leading the Supply Chain Team at Hunter Campbell.

Life Outside the Office
Behind the scenes, my home life is made up of two Tibetan Spaniels, children who have grown up and left the nest, leaving my wife and I with lots more time for gardening, a chance to grow native trees and plants. I enjoy walking, reading historical fiction, and after being an average sportsman in my prime, I’m now an expert armchair commentator on most sports. Good tasting food and drink are also a top priority, I consider myself a bit of a foodie, cooking a good meal when I have the time, and as an ex-brewer, I do appreciate a craft beer or two.
