The Role

We are looking for a Management Accountant to provide exceptional accounting support to the Accounting Manager as well as the wider group. You will assist with all management reporting activities to ensure P&L and Balance Sheet accuracy in a timely and accurate manner. 

Some hands on responsibilities include budgeting & forecasting, commercial analysis, process improvements, business partnering and project work. For your dedicated business units you will become a subject matter expert and a natural go-to person for any business critical information.

The Role
As FP&A Manager, reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for management reporting, financial analysis & insights, forecasting and budgeting for the US Commercial Operations business units whilst leading the Management Accountant.
  
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Prepare monthly management reports for senior management, highlighting the key performance indicators and financial metrics.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, highlighting sales performance.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide actionable insights to drive financial improvements
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances and opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Prepare monthly reports and insights on all sales team OPEX
  • Manage all distributor channel reporting and rebate programs
  • Collaborate with department managers to prepare budgets and maintain financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with the business objectives
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including the consolidation of financial data from multiple departments.
  • Oversee the accurate management of product pricing across all distribution channels
  • Co-lead the management of key financial information systems, including ERP, Concur, and sales tracings database
  • Collaborate with Analytics, sales operations, marketing and clinical teams to provide financial insights and support decision making
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting, planning and analysis activities.

Key Requirements
You will be CA / CPA (or equivalent) qualified with 5+ years of experience. Strong proficiency in reporting, financial analysis & insights, forecasting and budgeting is essential. You will have excellent excel skills and ideally exposure to Power BI. You will have strong commercial acumen and be a logical problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Lead the annual budget and forecasting processes, including working with different business units and GMs.
  • Develop strong understanding of key performance drivers and issues relating to the forecast and actual results and incorporate into monthly quantitative and qualitative analysis of financial results. This includes variances to plan, key issues, risks, and ensuring business drivers are understood and highlighted.
  • Provide regular visibility of the outlook of performance between formal budgeting rounds, identifying the ongoing impact of known variances to the baseline. Drive improvement in business performance through process and commercial insight.
  • Continuously seek process improvement opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual interfaces to minimise risk of error.
  • Maintain the data integrity of analytical financial and non-financial outputs.

  • Provide input into dashboarding from the data warehouse and interpret data analysis to provide insight.

   
  
Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting & Finance related disciplines, ideally with CA/CPA/CIMA qualified.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience relevant commercial experience, preferably within a medium to large organisation
  • Broad commercial knowledge
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated pragmatic input across all business areas
  • Proven experience presenting financial information to business stakeholders

 
You will be autonomous, driven and self-directed with a track-record of delivering multiple workstreams to deadline.
