About the company:
Our client is a high-growth innovative NZ-owned and operated FMCG business with a full order book and ambitious yet realistic growth plans.
They are paving the way for premium but affordable products and have already won several awards and accolades from industry bodies and publications.
With the business continuing to grow, they are continuing to invest in their supply chain and are now looking for the next member of their team.
About the role:
Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, this role will see you managing all aspects of logistics (import and export). You will be responsible for developing efficient logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods (thus meaning you coordinate with Freight Forwarders, suppliers, manufacturers and retailers) to ensure seamless movement of raw materials and finished goods. Layered with this will be the responsibility of monitoring inventory levels and working with the SCM to forecast future inventory requirements. With support from the SCM, you will manage relationships with Freight Forwarders and 3PLs. This role will require you to ensure all logistics activities comply with industry standards and legal regulations (in reference to shipping documentation required).
This role is a permanent part-time role (30 hours per week). In time, as the business grows, there may be an opportunity to increase your hours. You may be looking to step back into the work force after being on parental leave or you may be looking to wind down on the hours you are working each week. You will enjoy an extremely flexible working arrangement. You can work from the offices in Albany each day or work from home. The only requirement is for you to work in the office one day per fortnight.
About you?
To be successful in this role, you will have a thorough understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain. Experience in freight/logistics is essential with a strong preference for someone who has FMCG or manufacturing environment-based experience. You will be quick to pick up new systems and be savvy on Excel. You will have a keen-to-learn attitude and be willing to work cross-functionally across the supply chain.
What’s in it for you?
The business is continuing to grow and there are opportunities to either remain at the same level and take hours that suit your lifestyle, or take on more responsibilities and progress your career.
