The Role
Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join their high-performing finance function and support the team as they go through a high-growth phase. Well organised, with great systems and processes in place, you will get a solid handover for this temp role and gain great exposure to a global business! As the Accounts Receivable Officer, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Process weekly and monthly invoicing runs
  • Prepare and process monthly direct debit payments
  • Account reconciliations 
  • Processing credit card payments 
  • Handle customer queries
  • Manage and take ownership of your assigned ledger
  • Timely and accurate processing of monthly statements

About You
Ideally, you will have a tertiary degree in an accounting-related field. You will have at least 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience and a sound knowledge of accounting principles, software, and Excel – SAP experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential, along with excellent time management. You will be a confident communicator and a team player who wants to learn and grow in your accounting career. Importantly, you will have the ability to hit the ground running in a contract role.

Working as part of a diverse and high performing finance team, this role will allow you to really add value through partnering with non-financial stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. 

Responsibilities: 

As a Management Accountant, your role will be pivotal in financial reporting and supporting the CFO, financial accountants, and various teams. Your key responsibilities entail:

  • Monthly Reporting: Preparing month-end management accounts, including reconciliations, and assisting in variance analysis and error investigation.
  • Reports and Analytics: Creating and distributing reports and analytics to the Field Team, Management, and distribution partners.
  • Annual Tasks: Assisting in year-end audits, supporting with GST/FBT/PAYE returns, and contributing to tax return preparations for all entities.
  • Finance Administration: Collaborating with Financial Controllers for month-end reporting, aiding month-end roll-over activities, contributing to sales and analytic reporting, and compiling data.
  • Data Integrity: Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of information within the accounting system.
  • Project Support: Assisting with various finance-related projects and functions as required.
  • Building Relationships: Maintaining positive relationships with internal teams, managers, auditors, and distribution partners.

Qualifications and Skills:

The successful candidate will ideally be a CA qualified Accountant with broad based skills across management accounting and analysis. It’s essential that you have gained exposure to the commercial sector in a fast paced and complex organisation, with a background specifically in services or similar highly advantageous. 

You must be immediately available or at the back end of your current assignment.

Payroll Specialist

About the Role:

This role is an immediate start, 3-6 month contract. There is a lot going on in the payroll area of the business at the moment and an extra pair of hands is needed to assist the existing team with processing of the fortnightly, and monthly payroll.

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, accurate processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions, terminations and pay reviews
  • Ensure new staff are correctly set up in the payroll system paying particular attention to pay rate and conditions, allowances and the accrual of holiday pay, statutory holidays and special (sick) leave
  • Administer benefit plans including KiwiSaver and superannuation
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
  • Prepare relevant reports
  • Prepare and review payroll account reconciliations and conduct internal audits and checks to ensure data, leave balances and payment calculations are accurate and compliant with legislation
  • Ensure compliance with ACC requirements, particularly Weekly Compensation payments

Responsibilities:  

  • Preparation of monthly group financial management reports covering profit & loss, balance sheet, operating cash flow and performance reports.        
  • Preparation of statutory accounts including full analysis of results.
  • Ensure the accurate preparation and timely filing of all tax and statutory returns, including GST, FBT, WHT, PAYE and ACC and income tax and statistics returns.        
  • Control and oversight over cash management and reporting timelines for month end, statutory reporting. 
  • Lead, coach and develop a close knit finance team to maximise team outputs.

Your requirements:

  • Proven success as a Finance Manager / Controller 
  • CA/ CPA qualification with 5-7 years experience in a medium/ large business
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Experience in Manufacturing or FMCG is advantageous

The Role

As the Commercial Accountant reporting to the Senior Commercial Accountant, your primary focus is to support the Mussels division of Sanford. You will provide accurate and timely reporting across the Mussels division, as well as providing increased insight and understanding of the cost base.

Your key duties will include (but not be limited to);

  • Delivery of the daily and monthly reporting requirements ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Helping provide the Mussels division with a greater understanding of its cost base including understanding trends, and insights around opportunities and risks.
  • Identify and supporting process improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting the Senior Commercial Accountant Mussels in the preparation of the annual budget and other key planning cycles including mid-year forecasts.
  • Champion the transition to D365 in the Mussels division and provide support in implementing the recommended best practices.

  
To be considered for this role you will ideally be CA/CPA qualified or on that pathway. You will be commercially savvy with a curious mindset. 

Experience in working with large data sets and someone who is tech savvy is a must.
