They’re seeking an experienced procurement contractor to provide hands-on support across a range of operational categories over the coming months. This is a great opportunity to contribute meaningfully during a busy and high-impact period. The role is initially a 3-4 month daily rate contract with a view to extension and the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role. 

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the procurement leadership team, you will lead and deliver end-to-end procurement activities across a diverse portfolio of spend. The role will have a strong focus on facilities, operational services, and supplier management, with the potential to support a range of commercial initiatives depending on your experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end sourcing and tender processes to deliver commercial value and alignment with business objectives
  • Negotiating and managing supplier agreements to ensure value, performance, and risk mitigation
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to advise on procurement best practices and compliance
  • Supporting category planning and identifying opportunities for cost optimisation
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives to strengthen procurement frameworks

About You
You’re an experienced procurement generalist who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment. You bring broad category experience, ideally including exposure to facilities, maintenance, or operational services (such as electrical, plumbing, or similar trade-related spend) in a corporate setting. You’re commercially astute, proactive, and skilled at balancing delivery with stakeholder engagement.

You will bring:

  • Strong end-to-end procurement and category management experience
  • Proven negotiation and supplier management capability
  • The ability to build credibility quickly with both internal and external stakeholders
  • A hands-on, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to work autonomously

The Role:


Reporting directly to the MD, you’ll take ownership of group financial integrity, external reporting, and compliance while driving continuous improvement in systems, processes, and controls. This is a hands-on role where you’ll bring structure and discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage consolidations
  • Oversee audit and assurance processes, ensuring governance best practice
  • Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting framework

Core Competencies & Experience:

The Role

Reporting to an excellent Financial Controller, your role will identify problems/opportunites within existing financial systems or processes, provide recommendations for improvement, and implement the changes to promote further efficiency. You will have a strong understanding of finance processes & 

  
Key deliverables:

  • Engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements, pain points,
    and opportunities for improvement across: Financial Reporting, Capex
    reporting, Management Reporting & Working capital management
  • Leading requirements gathering, translating business needs into
    functional and technical specifications and implementing changes to
    to the ERP
  • Analysing existing business processes and systems, identifying areas
    for optimisation and automation, and implementing improvements
  • Documentation of process flows across key areas
  • Review and improvement of classification of costs across the P&L and
    Balance Sheet 
  • Review of data compilation for Management and Board reporting.

Required skills and experience

  • CA qualification desirable
  • Strong corporate experience (10 years plus) working in complex organisations
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying

About the role:


This is a hands-on planning role where you’ll take responsibility for managing demand and supply planning across a key product portfolio. You’ll work closely with production, procurement, and sales to ensure materials and finished goods are available when and where they’re needed.


Alongside planning, you will also manage the transactional purchasing activity-raising and tracking purchase orders, managing supplier communication, and monitoring material availability. In this role you will play a key role in balancing supply and demand, maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting production to meet customer requirements.

 
This role would see you contributing to the monthly S&OP process for your category, building accurate forecasts and turning these into actionable supply and purchasing plans.

This is an initial 3-month fixed-term contract, offering the opportunity to add value quickly while gaining exposure to a leading New Zealand manufacturer.


About you:


With full time NZ working rights, you will bring proven experience in demand and supply planning, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment. You’ll also have a solid understanding of purchasing processes and be confident managing day-to-day buying activity.


Strong analytical and systems skills are essential – you’ll be comfortable working with ERP systems and Excel to manage data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Experience with Power BI or similar tools would be an advantage but not essential.


You will also have strong communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively with teams across production, procurement and logistics.

For your category, you will take ownership of materials replenishment planning, inventory management and purchasing and logistics coordination.


It is a hands-on, fast-paced role that would suit someone who enjoys balancing detail with collaboration — keeping production running smoothly while identifying opportunities to streamline processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage material replenishment in line with production schedules and demand forecasts (experience in demand planning would be highly advantageous)
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure the right materials are available at the right time
  • Raise and track purchase orders, following up with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and resolve any supply issues
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across production and the wider supply chain team
  • Support basic supplier relationship management and coordination
  • Identify and suggest improvements to processes, systems and communication flow within materials and purchasing activities

You’ll be a proactive, organised and an adaptable team player with experience across the supply chain within a manufacturing based environment.
