About the Role
Reporting to the New Zealand CEO, the core purpose of the CFO is to be responsible for the overall financial and administrative activities of Busy Bees Aotearoa, reporting through to Group, and incorporates the planning, implementation, management and running of all the finance activities of the New Zealand operations including all financial reporting & forecasting and leadership of the finance team.
Key Duties

  • Support the CEO and wider SLT with all aspects of the successful execution of the strategic and operating plans
  • At all times promote and display the highest levels of financial propriety
  • Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate financial & management reports, assessments and guidance in line with established Busy Bees Worldwide targets
  • Analyse financial statements to pinpoint potential opportunities for growth and areas of risk
  • As required by the CEO play a key role in business acquisitions
  • Lead, coach and develop the finance team

Skills & Experience

  • Fully qualified, technically strong, accountant (CA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a CFO or “Head of Finance” role
  • Track record of ‘can do’, ‘roll-up sleeves’ action and results orientation
  • Experience in a business with a medium/large workforce would be an advantage
  • Experience in a business with international reporting lines would be an advantage
  • Personal and communication skills to build relationships across the organisation and influence senior management
